James Bennett

Dr. Bennett, a native of New Orleans, graduated from Tulane University School of Engineering in 1974 and Tulane University School of Medicine in 1978. His orthopaedic residency was at the University of North Carolina and included a year at the Alfred Dupont Institute followed by a fellowship at Scottish Rite Hospital / Emory in Atlanta, Georgia. Returning to New Orleans, Dr. Bennett is a Professor of Orthopaedics and Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedics. His specialty interests include scoliosis and spinal deformity, both operative and non-operative management. Dr. Bennett was the first in Louisiana to introduce minimally invasive thoracoscopic surgery in the treatment of scoliosis.
