Dr. Juan Uribe is a fellowship trained neurosurgeon at Barrow Brain and Spine, a specialty practice in neurosurgery and advanced spine care. In addition, Dr. Uribe is Chief of the Division of Spinal Disorders, and Volker K.H. Sonntag Chair of Spine Research at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ. His clinical interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, scoliosis and spinal deformities, spinal cord tumors, spinal trauma, and spine tumors. Dr. Uribe earned his medical degree at the Instituto Superior de Ciencias de la Salud and completed his residency at Hospital San Vicente de Paul in Columbia. He completed a surgical internship at the University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital, and residency at the University of South Florida’s Department of Neurosurgery in Tampa. Dr. Uribe advanced his training by completing a Clinical Spine Surgery Fellowship at the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Miami.
