Acute Kidney Injury Secondary to Cell Saver in Posterior Spinal Fusion

i) Study design: Case report
ii) A healthy 18-year-old male developed hematuria and AKI, confirmed by renal biopsy, following posterior spinal instrumentation and fusion for AIS with intraoperative autologous blood transfusion.
iii) This was the first case report of AKI secondary to cell saver demonstrated by renal biopsy following a posterior spinal fusion surgery for AIS.
